"Matt and I had an evening wedding in town, and in
addition we wanted our reception in town so that our out-of-town
guests wouldn't have to travel far and worry about getting lost.
We loved the fact that the Nimitz Event Center was on Main
Street, so our guests could enjoy being in the heart of the
beautiful historic Fredericksburg setting but also be within
walking distance of their hotels. The Nimitz is really the most
elegant facility in town and it has wonderful outside and inside
areas both for guests to visit and explore. The historic
building has such character and the balcony in the ballroom is
my favorite area. When we began our first dance when we looked
up at the balcony railing it was lined with our friends and
family all clapping and yelling for us. It really was a
beautiful moment I'll never forget. Thank you to the Nimitz
Event Center staff for making everything perfect." -
