At Lajitas, your wedding will be steeped in history and the character of the “old west.”   You can even have a wedding on horseback up on Stargazer Mesa, complete with our famous “Cowboy Campfire Cookout” for your guests.  Or how about getting hitched in the old San Juan y Santa Maria mission dating from the 1800’s on our property? 

Our Pavilion Ballroom seats up to 300 for meals or 200 with a dancefloor, and the Ocotillo is a luxurious, beautiful, and unique building formerly housing the family that ran Lajitas Trading Post back in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and can seat 150 for dinner inside and up to 60 on the outside terrace overlooking the Rio Grande.  Speaking of the old Lajitas Trading Post, which now serves double duty as our Black Jack’s Crossing Golf Course Pro Shop, and housing the largest longhorn steer horn collection in the world, you can still see the bullet holes from gunfights of bygone days and from when Pancho Villa and his men raided across the border.  At our restaurant the Candellia, the Terrace can seat up to 90 with additional seating indoors for 60 more  guests.  Another popular venue is the Maverick Ranch Ballroom, which can seat up to 200 people indoors and up to 350 outdoors by the Pool Terrace.  And for the most unique wedding of all, let us take you and your guests up to Stargazer Mesa, either by horse, SUV’s, or haywagons and enjoy a view of the sky, stars, desert, and mountains that will make your day truly unforgettable!
